Description: "NMPB invites proposals under its Central Sector Scheme to establish Poshan Vatika (Nutrition Gardens) in Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) of NESTS, Ministry of Tribal Affairs, across the country. The objective is to promote better nutrition among school children through cultivation of fruits, vegetables & medicinal plants.
Minimum 30 plant species
Garden area: 100 sq. m. to 2 acres
Plantation, irrigation, maintenance, training, awareness & signage"
Eligibility: Government organizations and NGOs/Voluntary Organizations with demonstrated expertise
Grant Amount: "₹7,00,000 (100% Assistance) over 3 years
Year 1: ₹4,50,000 (Establishment)
Year 2: ₹1,25,000 (Maintenance)
Year 3: ₹1,25,000 (Maintenance)"
