Duration: 1 Year (6 months probationary period)
Position details: The Senior Programme Associate will work with the Communities & Resource Governance (CRG) team and other relevant institutional personnel.
Job Description: The Senior Programme Associate will support programme implementation related to small-scale fisheries, coastal governance, community rights, and natural resource governance. The role will involve research, policy analysis, programme coordination, stakeholder engagement, documentation, and supporting field-based initiatives with fishing and coastal communities.
Candidates with the following basic qualifications/skills will be preferred: • Master’s degree in Law, Environmental Law, Human Rights, Public Policy, or a related field • Strong understanding of legal and policy frameworks related to environment, fisheries, coastal governance, and community rights • Experience in legal research, policy analysis, programme implementation, or working with communities • Strong research, writing, documentation, and communication skills • Excellent English communication skills • Interest in and/or experience working on marine and coastal conservation, small-scale fisheries, or natural resource governance • Fluency in Tamil, Telugu, Odia, or Kannada will be an added advantage
